Before the sun rose, we met outside the hotel at 6:30 am. We headed to Budongo Forest on the north side of The Nile and joined a tour guide to go chimpanzee trekking.

Today, we left the Lacor Guest House and began the three-and-a-half-hour bus ride to Murchison Falls. It was sad to say goodbye to everyone we met, and many people gathered at the Lacor Guesthouse to see us off.

We signed it and brought it to the Hospital, telling Dr. Emmanuel that the generous donations we received totaled 7,008 USD. They were so thankful that this money would be used to help people with malaria at Lacor.

During our visit to St. Jude Children's Home, "the moms" noticed the children lacked sufficient playground equipment. It was mentioned in passing, but I didn't hear more about it then.

We watched the show the students put on for us. It included a traditional dance called otole, among other performances. Once school was let out, we went to St. Jude Children’s Home to play with the kids. We also gave out the backpacks that we had packed before the trip.

Today, we had the opportunity to tour the lagoons and incinerators at Lacor Hospital, gaining firsthand insight into its comprehensive approach to waste management. The Hospital's waste system has been approved by The National Environmental Authority.

We started the day by visiting Comboni Samaritans. Comboni Samaritans was originally a religious group of people who sold art to help HIV-positive women. It has since grown and is now run by the Comboni sisters. They have also set up a medical center and an education center.
